Growing up as an only child with a single working mother, I either stayed at home with my nonna or went to my Aunt Cathy's house. Now, let me tell you that my Aunt Cathy had the BEST cereals in her pantry at all times. AT ALL TIMES. One of the cereals she'd get for me when I stayed over were Lucky Charms. Because of this, I always wanted to sleep over at her place because I knew the next morning I'd have a very large bowl of Lucky Charms cereal with milk. Whole milk. And, I'd either watch Saturday cartoons or The Price Is Right in my pjs. I associate this cereal with those weekends and it brings a smile to my face when I see it now either at the grocery store or in the office kitchen pantry; a rare occurrence, but when they show up I tend to double up on those cereal cups and hide them in my desk drawer.
